EVAFIDI ended in 2020

The Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Deployment Initiative (EVAFIDI) offered repayable contributions to support the construction of a coast-to-coast EV fast-charging network in Canada. The program was administered by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). It was launched in 2016 and the last round of applications closed in July 2020.

NRCan is continuing to distribute new funding for EV chargers through another initiative, the Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP).
